Union Township crash kills Shenandoah woman

A Shenandoah woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Union Township on Saturday.

State police at Frackville said the accident occurred about 3:30 p.m. along Aristes Road when Patricia Ann Nork, 36, of Lost Creek, was westbound when she lost control of her vehicle while traveling westbound. The vehicle went onto the south berm where it struck a tree with its rear end.

After impacting the tree, the vehicle struck another tree and a barn on the passenger side. The vehicle came to rest off the south side of the road against a tree.

Nork was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, troopers noted.

The investigation into the crash is continuing.
