State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident of vandalism at a Schuylkill County church.

The incident occurred at Kimmels Evangelical Free Church, located at 179 Pine Creek Rd., in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said unknown criminals approached the church's road sign and rearranged the letters to spell obscene phrases. The incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, and 8 a.m. on Sunday.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570)-593-2000.
