There was no glass slipper but there was quite a ball with Cinderella last night at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

The hard rock icons of the 80s and 90s played before a large crowd in a stop on their summer tour. The band, with its original members, returned to the road this year after a four-year hiatus.Lead singer Tom Keifer, a native of Springfield, Bucks County, showed the energy of a 18-year old (but believe it or not he is 49 years old).The other band members are Eric Brittingham, Jeff LaBar, and Fred Coury.Cinderella, which was formed in Philadelphia in 1982 by Keifer, rocked on stage for well over 1 1/2 hours. They did all their hits including their biggest hit "Night Songs."Keifer appeared on stage with a reddish sweater and tight, black leather pants which proved that despite aging he is still in great physical condition.His vocal ability is matched with his strength on the guitar.Most of the fans chose to stand close to the stage instead of sitting for the concert, yelling, gesturing, and singing along with the band."This is awesome," said Ted Martose of Ocean City, Maryland. "This is a great band. And I love this venue. Cinderella rocks."Opening for Cinderella was the young band Lynam, an audience-friendly rock group from Louisiana.Lynam did a great job warming-up the crowd, singing such songs as "It's All In Your Head," "Save Your Soul," to which the band encouraged the audience to sing along, and "By Your Side."Up next at Penn's Peak is the band the B-52's, who perform Thursday night. The B-52's are best known for the song "Love Shack."For rockers, another treat is in store on Friday, July 30, when Skid Row appears with Firehouse.
