Representatives from the offices of Senator Arlen Specter and challenger Congressman Joe Sestak as well as representatives from the 11th Congressional District race from Congressman Paul Kanjorski and challenger Corey O'Brien will be the featured guest speakers at the Palmerton Area Democratic Club's first "Meet the Candidates Night" Tuesday, March 9, 7 p. m. at Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown.

"This is a great opportunity to get to know the candidates better as well as their positions on issues that affect us in Carbon County," said Club Vice President, Sandi Peters. "Our Club's Executive Board has formulated a few questions for each race and we will entertain questions from the floor as well."Upcoming "Meet the Candidates Nights" of the Palmerton Area Democratic Club will feature:*Tuesday, April 13, 7 p. m. Democratic candidates in the race to replace Representative Keith McCall in the 122nd District of the Pennsylvania Legislature which encompasses all of Carbon County.*Tuesday, May 11, 7 p. m. Democratic candidates in the Gubernatorial race.PADC's monthly meetings are held at the Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown, 7 p. m. , the second Tuesday of the month, September through May.
