Nesquehoning Borough Council took action to further the plans of the Nesquehoning Fire Company to relocate to the Roadside Rest at the east end of town. Councilman Ken Reis said he was informed by the fire company that it will put a 100-by-70 foot building on a four-plus acre site at Roadside Rest and make improvements to the picnic area. The fire company is asking for a deed, under which the borough would revert to the borough in the event of the dissolution of the fire company.
