Pocono Mountain Regional Police report the arrest of Raymond G. McHose, 26, of Emerald Lakes, for shoplifting.

Police said the incident happened at 1:51 p.m. March 15 at the Mount Pocono Wal-Mart store, where it is alleged McHose concealed $161 worth of general merchandise in his child's diaper bag and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.

He was stopped by store employees and arrested for retail theft.

A man made off with an extra $100 in currency after a theft by deception incident that happened about 7:15 p.m. March 5 at the Giant Supermarket in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County, according to state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

Police said the individual entered the store and purchased an item by using a $100 bill, and then took another $100 bill out of his pocket, asking the clerk for $200 in $20 bills. Police said after receiving the money the man fled the scene.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said two persons were arrested after police stopped a car at 8:45 p.m. March 13 at the intersection of Oak Street and Route 209 in Mahoning Township.

Police said Leonard Graham, 20, of Hazleton, was stopped for equipment violations on his vehicle and was subsequently found to have a small amount of marijuana inside his vehicle.

His passenger, Deshawn Herbert, 18, of Ambler, was arrested after giving police a false name and date of birth.

State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident that was reported to have happened on Feb. 7 on Mill Street in Bowmanstown.

The victim is Robert Spairana, 54, of Bowmanstown.

He told police sonone damaged a door at his residence and fled the scene undetected.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 3-7 a.m. March 15 at 9808 King's Highway in Lower Milford Township.

The victim is Kyle Beidler, 20, of Hatfield.

He told police someone smashed the driver's side window of his vehicle while it was parked at the above site.

Patricia Heil, 44, of Jim Thorpe, has been arrested by state police at the Lehighton barracks on a charge of harassment.

Police said the charge was filed after an incident at 12:30 a.m. March 12 at the Shell Station parking lot, Route 903, Penn Forest Township.

The victim is Christopher Fazio, 22, of Norristown.

Police said it is alleged the woman repeatedly shouted at Fazio and pounded on the front of his car as he was attempting to leave the parking lot.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a shooting incident that happened on March 6 at 12:45 a.m. at the West End Ambulance Building, Gilbert Road, Crestnuthill Township.

Police said someone discharged bullets into a vehicle owned by Quentin Wenzel, 59, of Stroudsburg, while it was parked in the parking lot of the ambulance building. Police said tyhe victim did not report the crime until March 13 when he discovered the bullet holes.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating a crijminal mischief incident whereby two pickup trucks caused damages to a property in Weisenberg Township.

The victim is Reuben John Demaster, 35, of 7686 Herber Road in the township.

Police said the trucks made tire marks on the victim's property around 4 p.m. March 16 before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said a Macungie man was the victim of a theft by decpetion incident that happend in January when someone paid for a game system from him by giving him counterfeit bills.

The victim is Phallentz Michel, who told police he sold an X-Box Kinect game system to an unknown person for $120, later to find out the purchaser gave him counterfeit $20 bills.

The sale had been arranged on the website Craigslist.com and the two met in Lower Macungie Township to consumate the sale.

A criminal mischief incident that happened between 6:39 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. March 14 in Franklin Township is under investigation by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

The victim is Rhonda Hoffman of Lehighton.

She told polilce someone threw a brik at and smashed the driver's side door window of her 1985 Chevrolet S-10 while it was parked in the 1500 block of Long Run Road.

The estimated damages are $100.
