Eagle Rock sales

Eagle Rock Resorts Company, main office in Hazel Township, Luzerne County, recorded in the Recorder of Deeds office in the Schuylkill County Courthouse the sale of 12 lots in its two subdivisions located in North and East Union townships. Sales made to the following:

Spencer E. Gawe and Wadzanai B. Hama, Marlton, N.J., Lot 71, ER Subdivision, Eagle Rock Resorts, North Union Township, $10 (full consideration $25,900).

Nina and Pablo Santos, Kearny, N.J., Lot 70 AW Subdivision, Eagle Rock Resorts, North Union Township, $10 (full consideration $28,900).

Sentence affirmed

Robert Warren McFarland, 40, Pottsville, lost his appeal as the Pennsylvania Superior Court affirmed the sentence imposed Aug. 2, 2011, after he was convicted by a jury of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol. He was sentenced to serve one to five years in the county prison.

On appeal McFarland raised a challenge to the sufficiency of the evidence to support the conviction. He was stopped at a checkpoint on SR61 in Saint Clair. He failed to stop at the designated area for driver inspection.

Bench warrants

Daniel Peletsky, 30, of 421 Glenwood Ave., Tamaqua, had his bail reduced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin from $10,000 straight cash to $5,000 percentage cash and he must reside at 795 Valley Road, Pottsville R.D., and cannot relocate without court approval. Peletsky awaits trail on charges brought by Tamaqua Patrolman Matthew Houser, last March of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Revenue from deeds

Carbon County Recorder of Deeds Emmett P. McCall reported his office recorded 187 deeds, 206 mortgages and 448 other writs during the month of March.

As a result of those transactions, McCall turned over to the Carbon County General Fund the sum of $29,453.38. A breakdown of that revenue includes: transfer fees, $24,659.50; data processing fees, $1,726.75; notaries, $120; commission on transfers and writs, $1,869.23; and Affordable Housing administrative fee, $1,077.90.

Revoctions

Paroles and probation was revoked by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin of the following:

Andrew Cl. Bakerofskie, 21, Girardville, had his probation revoked and he was re-sentenced on two counts of terroristic threats to serve one to two years in a state correctional facility with credit for serving 53 days in the county prison. Bakerofskie had pleaded guilty on May 18, 2011, to the charges and was placed on probation.
