Amy and Louis Marmas

Amy Louis Schmauch, daughter of Richard and Betty Schmauch of Tamaqua, became the bride of Louis Michael Marmas, son of Anthony Marmas of Schuylkill Haven, and Mr. and Mrs. Gladwin Groff of Andreas, on Oct. 29, 2016, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tamaqua. The Rev. Phyllis J. Wolford officiated the double ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her cousin, Jeanine Edmonds, as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Keich, sister of the bridegroom; Mary Carter; and Alyssa Zellner. Alana Edmonds, the bride's goddaughter, was the flower girl.The bridegroom chose Timothy Tyson as his best man. Groomsmen were his brother-in-law Theodore Keich; and Richard and Ryan Schmauch, brothers of the bride. The ring bearers were Blake and Brady Keich, nephews of the bridegroom.Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed family and friends at a reception held at Capriotti's Palazzo in McAdoo.The new Mrs. Marmas is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree. She is employed as a customer service representative for Seitz Brothers. She is the granddaughter of the late Paul and Alberta Hertzig and Adam and Olive Schmauch.Mr. Marmas graduated from Universal Technical Institute. He is employed as a diesel mechanic for PennDOT. He is the grandson of Agnes Marmas and Harriet Groff, and the late Anthony Marmas, Carl and Janice Miller and Claire Groff.The newlyweds live in Schuylkill Haven.
