Schuylkill County commissioners on Wednesday approved the annual fall cleanup for Sept. 12 through Sept. 24.

The cleanup will take place at multiple sites: The Tamaqua Transfer Station, and in Pottsville, Minersville, the CES landfill, Girardville, North Manheim Township, Pine Grove, Ringtown and Tremont Borough.The cleanup will accept tires, electronics, appliances and bulky items, and is open to all county residents.The state Department of Environmental Protection reimburses the county up to 50 percent for the cleanup.More details, including exact locations, will be published in advertisements and on the county website,
