Marian's French, Spanish groups honored

New members of the Marian High School French and Spanish National Honor Societies were honored during recent induction ceremonies. The special Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Francis P. Shoenauer. Parts of the Mass were said in French and Spanish in addition to English. Certificates of achievement were presented to 22 students by Principal Sister Bernard Agnes.

Taking part in the ceremony were the officers of the French Honor Society: president Annette Ritzko, vice president Kaitlin Kowker, secretary Melissa Ramirez and treasurer Nicholas Kubishin. Officers of the Spanish Honor Society are president Kayla Rodick, vice president Abby O'Donnell, secretary Cassandra Hoben and treasurer Nicholas Sully.New members of the French Honor Society are Natalia Konitzer and Camaryn Wheeler.Inducted into the Spanish Honor Society were Nicole Ambruch, Frank Blozusky, Kathleen Blozusky, Anthony Collevechio, Benjamin Ferko, Megan Ferrello, Angela Grega, Sarah Grega, McKenzie Habel, Brianna John, Brenna Karnish, Edward Kolonsky, Z. Ethan Kuczynski, Robert Middleton, Julia Mussoline, Jenna O'Donnell, Sara Osilka, Jacob Paluck, Abigail Rakos and Madison Stoyer.The moderators of the societies are Maureen Heffelfinger, French Honor Society; and Deborah Coles, Spanish Honor Society.After the ceremony, a continental breakfast reception was served to the members, their parents and guests in the cafeteria.
