Carbon County officials make personnel moves

Carbon County officials acted on a number of personnel moves and salary transactions during the commissioners' and salary board meetings last week.

Personnel actions include:• Hire Francis L. DeMatto of Summit Hill as a seasonal park ranger I, Parks, effective April 13.• Hire Kassandra E. Gray of Lansford as a lifeguard, Parks, effective May 23.• Hire Arthur L. Guth Jr. of Jim Thorpe as seasonal park maintenance, Parks, effective April 13.• Hire Ashley J. Leickel of Palmerton and Amanda C. Schofield as part-time dispatchers/trainees, Communications Center, effective April 6.Salary Board actions include:• District Justices: Change the rate of one district justice secretary I from $11.26 per hour to $11.59 per hour, effective April 7.• Domestic Relations: Establish the positions of two part-time customer service clerks* at the rate of $8.50 per hour, effective April 2.• Area Agency on Aging: Change the rate of one aging care manager II from $14.35 per hour to $14.78 per hour, effective April 7.• Area Agency on Aging: Change the rate of one aging care manager III from $17.81 per hour to $15.82 per hour, effective April 2.• Buildings/Grounds: Change the positions of two summer laborers to include the statement, "Additional 25 cents per hour for each year of service if applicable," effective April 2.• Corrections: Change the rate of one part-time corrections officer from $11.59 per hour to $11.26 per hour, effective April 2.• Parks: Change the rate of one seasonal park ranger II from $11.27 per hour to $11.60 per hour, effective April 17.• Parks: Change the rate of one seasonal park ranger II from $11.27 per hour to $9.72 per hour, effective April 2.• Parks: Change the position of one part-time seasonal park maintenance to include the statement, "Additional 25-cents per hour for each year of service if applicable," effective April 2.* Excluded from retirement plan, not anticipated to work 1,000 hours.
