Driver facing charges after stop

A Carbon County driver is facing charges following a traffic stop that occurred about 5:08 p.m. on Friday along Route 248 eastbound near the Harley dealership in Franklin Township.

State police at Lehighton said Peter B. Vosburgh, 66, of Jim Thorpe, was stopped at the above location for an equipment violation. After further investigation Vosburgh was issued three motor vehicle code violations. He was then informed that his vehicle was going to be towed because he had a suspended license.Upon arrival of the tow truck, Vosburgh began to act in an extreme vuglar manner toward troopers and the tow truck operator, identified as Donald Dayton, 41, of Palmerton, using foul language and obscene gestures.He was then issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
