Erin Raymond, a senior at Tamaqua Area High School, recently received the 2012 Schuylkill County Choral Director's Vocal Scholarship. The award was presented at the annual Schuylkill County Choral Festival Concert held in February at Minersville High School. The award is presented annually to an outstanding senior vocalist from Schuylkill County who will be pursuing a career in music education. Raymond is a member of the Tri-M Music National Honor Society at Tamaqua High School where she is a member of the Jazz & Concert Chorale and the Concert Choir. She has been selected as a four year member of the Schuylkill County Chorus Festival where she has participated as both a vocalist and an accompanist. She is the daughter of Gene and Ruth Raymond of Andreas.
