Children at the fishing contest sponsored by the East Penn Recreation Committee received pitchers, yo-yos and pictures made from recycled materials. Loretta Smith of the recreation committee said pencils, Frisbees, whistles and vases are also available. They were made at Techna Plastics in Mahoning Township to show what can be done with recycled materials. The items East Penn had were received from Duane Dellecker, director of the Carbon County Solid Waste Authority. Displaying the pitchers and yo-yos at the fishing contest May 7 are Julie Gintvainis, fishing contest organizer; Kaylor Stout; Aaron Stout; RJ Fahringer; Emma Gaston; Miranda Lafaver; John Buday and Joshua Mitchell.
