Police investigate area thefts

Police reported on the following thefts:

• Two Carbon County residents are victims of a theft from vehicle incident in Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said on Saturday a 2012 Toyota Scion was entered while parked along Route 309 in Lynn Township at an Appalachian Trail parking lot. The front passenger window of the vehicle was smashed to gain entry. Taken was a purse on the passenger side floor. Inside the purse were miscellaneous items with a total value of $40 and damages to the vehicle of $250.

The victims are listed as a 27-year-old man from Nesquehoning and a 27-year-old woman from Albrightsville.

• State police at Fogelsville barracks are investigating the theft of a Timber Wolf trailer from a business at 2395 Kistler Court, Weisenberg Township during the evening hours of Oct. 16.

The 1997 model trailer is yellow and has a registration number of XHE3877.

• State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary that was reported at 7:18 p.m. Nov. 1.

It happened along Wintergreen Road in Towamensing Township.

The victim, an 83-year-old woman from Palmerton, told police her home was entered when someone pried open a rear door. Jewelry was removed from two bedrooms.
