McAdoo Police reported on the following arrests and incidents:

• Michael Moyer, 37, of McAdoo, was charged with attempted theft of a motor vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, loitering and prowling at night and public drunkenness. Charges stem from a Feb. 2 incident.

Police were dispatched to East Grant Street for a report of a man attempting to enter or damage a vehicle. Police encountered Moyer, who was standing by a parked SUV with the rear window missing. Snow was on the ground with footprints in the area. The pattern on his shoe matched the pattern in the snow. The owner of the SUV showed police text messages from Moyer stating that if the victim did not move their vehicle, Moyer would move it. He was taken into custody.

• Margaret Gavitt, 54, of McAdoo, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a Jan. 23 incident. Police had served a search warrant on a residence on East Grant Street. During the course of the search, police recovered multiple articles of drug paraphernalia. Gavitt said that she lived at the home.

• Ozzy Baggett, 26, of Wilkes-Barre, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges stem from a Jan. 23 incident. Police served a search warrant on a residence on E. Grant Street. During the search, police asked Baggett for consent to search his vehicle, which he granted. Police found a small amount of marijuana in a plastic bag.

• Lisbet Maldonado, 21, of McAdoo, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a stop-sign violation.

Police stopped a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign in the area of East Washington Street. Police spoke to Maldonado, the driver, and immediately smelled marijuana. She admitted to smoking about an hour ago. Field sobriety tests indicated some signs of impairment. She was taken into custody. A search of her vehicle found two small plastic bags with marijuana in them. Results of a blood test showed THC in her system.
