Lehighton woman has social worker license suspended

The Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors suspended the license of a Lehighton woman for having a relationship with a client.

Rachel Marie Lucki had her social worker license suspended for two years, with the suspension stayed for probation after six months.

She was fined $500 and must complete at least 20 hours of remedial education, because she engaged in unprofessional conduct by failing to maintain appropriate boundaries with a client/patient and by engaging in a dual relationship with said client/patient.

The board ruled she failed to maintain appropriate boundaries during their professional relationship and engaged in sexual intimacies with the client/patient within seven years following the termination of the professional relationship.
