Lehighton state police

State police at Lehighton report the following cases:

• A Palmerton man was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance after an incident at 7:08 a.m. June 26.

Police said he was stopped in the 100 block of Dotter’s Corner Road in Polk Township.

• Two Kunkletown men were charged with possession of marijuana after state police at the Lehighton barracks made a traffic stop at 10:15 p.m. July 3 on Harrity Road in Polk Township.

Police said one of the men, the driver who is 18, were taken into custody for driving under the influence. The second man, age 27, was a passenger.

Police said both people had marijuana on them when the stop was made.

State police did not release the names of those charged.
