Panther Valley has found a successor for longtime wrestling coach Tim Robb, who retired after the 2017-18 season.

The school board voted Thursday night to hire Zane Bachert as head coach for the coming season.

Bachert recently took a job as a social studies teacher at Panther Valley Junior-Senior High School.

He previously served as assistant wrestling coach at Lehighton and Tamaqua, Superintendent Dennis Kergick said. He wrestled collegiately at Messiah College and Waynesboro University. Bachert also wrestled at Tamaqua Area High School.
