Publishers recognize local author's website
The website of Summit Hill author Stanley "Porky" Szczecina has been selected as "Author Website of the Week" by Publish America, the Frederick, Md., publishing firm that released his trilogy adventure series based on his hometown.
Szczecina authored the Laura Leinhart series that began with the fictional story about a former coal mining town and a young reporter's investigation of mysterious angelic apparitions. His works are entitled "Laura Leinhart: The Sommers Hill Adventure, Book 1," "Laura Leinhart: The Sommers Hill Adventure, Book 2" and "Laura Leinhart's Search For The Holy Grail." Copies of his book will be personally signed by him during the village's "Patch Town Days Anthracite Heritage Festival."The event, to be held Saturday and Sunday, June 19-20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will celebrate the customs and traditions of the anthracite coal region through music, dancing, food, living history demonstrations, crafts, artisans, and more.
