A Lansford woman admitted to a count of simple assault and two counts of persistent disorderly conduct in two pending cases last Friday in Carbon County court.

She was one of seven defendants in pending criminal case to enter a guilty plea before Judge Joseph J. Matika.Same victimSadie Paisley, 32, entered the pleas for incidents on Feb. 15, 2016, and May 19, both in Lansford, both in the area of West Kline Avenue and both involvingthe same victim. Paisley and the victim were living together at the time. She admitted to an abusive relationship with the victim in which police had been called to their residence on more than one occasion.Defense Attorney Nicholas A. Quinn, who represented Paisley on the one conduct count, said his client has a history of mental health issues and had undergone some hospitalization because of it.The conduct charge stemmed from the Feb. 15 incident. In the May 19 assault, which she also pleaded to the second conduct count, she admitted striking at the victim with a piece of wood while he was on a bike.On the assault count, Matika sentenced her to time-served (13 days) to one year in jail and one year probation on the conduct charge, running concurrent to each other. On the second conduct charge six months probation with that term running consecutive to the others.She was also ordered to get a mental health evaluation and render a total of 75 hours of community service.Other pleasRachael Ann French, 29, of Lansford, pleaded to one count of simple assault.She was arrested on May 9, 2016, by Lansford police for an incident in the area ofWest Patterson Street, the result of a domestic incident with her stepdaughter.Matika placed her on probation for six months and ordered she render 25 hours of community service. She was previously placed in the county's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program but was revoked from it for violating conditions.Stephanie Marie Weirich, 41, of Lansford, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.She was arrested on March 31 by Lansford police.She was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use.Terry A. Gergar, 32, of West Hazleton, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.He was arrested on March 3 by Weatherly police along Plane Street.Gergar was placed on probation for six months and ordered to render 25 hours of community service.Joanna Sue Stauffer, 29, of Nesquehoning, pleaded to one count of hindering apprehension.She was arrested by Nesquehoning police for an incident on April 26 at her residence. A person wanted by police came to her apartment and she did not report it to police after previously being told there was a warrant for the person and she should call police if he came to her apartment.She was placed on probation for a year and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Tara Lynn Hertzog, 33, of Nesquehoning pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.She was arrested on May 6 in the area of 748 E. Patterson St., by Lansford police.She was placed on probation for a year and ordered to render 50 hours of community service, get a drug and alcohol evaluation and zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use.Ashley L. Thomas, 32, of Walnutport, and formerly of Lansford, pleaded to one count of defiant trespass.She was arrested on May 21 by Lansford police for entering a property along East Kline Avenue after previously being told to stay off the property.She was placed on probation for six months and ordered to render 25 hours of community service and stay off the property.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while in probation/parole.
