Weissport Crisp Air Festival offers music, family fun

The third annual Crisp Air Festival is scheduled for this weekend in Weissport.

It will be held from 5-10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday in the borough park.

There will be free parking, admission and entertainment over the course of the festival, which is presented by the Weissport Event Committee.

Among the activities included are pictures with Highland cows, cuddle with goats, pumpkin painting, rage room, bounce house for kids, and various food and beverage vendors, said Jen Ketchledge, event coordinator.

Entertainment will be comprised of Coal Town Blue from 6-9 p.m. Friday; Damian Walck from noon to 2 p.m., Tom Acker from 2-5 p.m. and Abandoned Mind from 6-9 p.m. Saturday; and 400 Dead Whiskey Stamps from noon to 2 p.m. and Jagged Rose from 2-5 p.m. Sunday.

Ketchledge touted the entertainment lineup as being top-notch.

“We have a lot of talented musicians, and we’re trying to show them off a little bit,” Ketchledge said.

Ketchledge said all proceeds from the event benefit the youth of Weissport.

“We’re just looking to bring back a fall country festival,” she said. “We’re trying to bring family and friends together to have a good time.”

Ketchledge said event sponsors include Lehighton Ford, HTA Machine Shop, Sites Specific Designs, Assessor Services LLC, and Yenser’s Tree Farm for the pumpkins.
