The Sew What Quilt Guild will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Friday in the upstairs gallery at the Palmerton Area Library.
There is still time to enter the quilt block contest. The theme is red, white, and blue. The white fabric is being provided by the guild. The submitted blocks will be used to create a queen-size quilt for the Quilt Lover’s Bingo. The bingo will be held on Sept. 20,
During the past few months, guild members handcrafted 100 flags to be given to Palmerton businesses to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary.
The annual guild summer picnic will be held during the July meeting on July 10. More details will be shared as the date gets closer.
The guild will be having a group display at the Carbon County Fair (Aug. 3-8). More details about the fair will be coming soon. The group is looking for ideas to make a banner for the display.
If you have any travel-size toiletries, like those from hotel stays, bring them to the meeting or drop them off at the library — they’ll certainly be put to good use.
The meeting will conclude with an artistic Show ‘N Tell, so bring along your latest projects to share.
