State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 17-year-old Kunkletown boy was charged with simple trespass after police responded to an incident at 11:12 p.m. June 24 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said they were called to the Wawa store in Brodheadsville for a report of individuals causing a disturbance, and the boy was cited after he was seen on property where he had previously trespassed.

• A 38-year-old Stroudsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at 11:30 p.m. June 20 at the intersection of Route 209 and Dairy Lane in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said he was operating a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta that drove through a sobriety checkpoint, after which he was taken into custody.

• Police were summoned to a case of mislaid/lost property involving three firearms.

It occurred at 12:35 p.m. Feb. 12 on Darcy Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said the complainant told them he misplaced three of his personal firearms and has not found them.

They were a Smith & Wesson Model 442 .38-caliber, a Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard .38 caliber and a Ruger Security 9 9-mm. All the weapons are black.

Police said anyone with information about the guns is asked to contact them at 717-646-2271.

• Tishown Ragland, 29, of Gouldsboro, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic disturbance at 12:55 p.m. June 16 on Lower Mountain Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said the victim is a 22-year-old woman from Effort.

• Melissa Overby, 43, of Jim Thorpe, was cited for disorderly conduct after an incident at 1:29 p.m. June 16 at the intersection of Route 903 and Smith Road in Penn Forest Township.

Police said they were summoned to a motor vehicle crash and informed that Overby was irate and causing a disturbance at the location. Police said she was screaming and cursing at numerous firefighters who were on the scene and also made threats to tow truck personnel.
