PPL awards grants to Lehighton Library, LV groups

The PPL Foundation completed the first of three planned grant programs for 2025, awarding more than $65,000 in grants to 11 nonprofit organizations working to build stronger communities in our six-county southeast region, including Lehigh, Northampton, Bucks, Montgomery, Carbon and Schuylkill counties.

This round of grants supports programs focused on providing critical support and resources to underserved groups or communities and enhancing inclusion and belonging for all. In all, the PPL Foundation expects to award $1 million in grants this year in Pennsylvania to support the foundation’s focus areas: education, inclusion and sustainable communities.

“We believe that strong communities create a stronger future, and local nonprofits are at the heart of our neighborhoods,” said Jane George, manager of Government Affairs and Special Projects for PPL Electric Utilities, and a grant reviewer for the PPL Foundation. “The PPL Foundation is committed to making the area we serve and live in a better place, and we are proud to partner with our grant recipients.”
