Lansford Borough Council has been stashing away CDBG money for its massive storm sewer separation project. The borough has applied for a state grant to fund the project, but needs to come up with a certain percentage of matching funds.

The borough is expected to receive $114,902 in Community Development Block Grant money in 2004, which will be administered by Carbon County. This will be the fourth year for the project.With the 2004 monies, the borough will have set aside $304,000 to be used as matching funds.
