West Penn firefighters responded during pouring rain Tuesday evening to a report of a brush fire on the 100 block of Blue Mountain Drive in the township. When firefighters arrived, they noticed an unmanned burn pit, with nearby shrubbery on fire as well. Firefighters extinguished the fire. West Penn fire police also responded.
