A crash involving a large tanker truck crashing into a Slatington home late Friday night is still under investigation.

Slatington Police Chief Dave Rachman said Monday afternoon that it is unknown what caused the truck to crash into the porch of the Victorian home at Diamond and Main streets at 11:30 p.m."We don't know what caused the accident," Rachman said. "Witnesses didn't see the brake lights go on; he crossed over into the southbound lane and struck the house."We're going to have the vehicle inspected to see if there is any mechanical issue involved," he said.The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution, and nobody else was injured.Rachman said the house was not structurally damaged to the point that it couldn't be lived in by resident Deborah Miller, who was home when the crash occurred."There didn't appear to be any indication of alcohol or drugs involved at this point," Rachman said. "But it is under investigation."
