100 days and counting

Students and teachers at the Parkside Elementary in the Palmerton School District recently celebrated their 100th day of school. The students have been counting each day of school since it began in August. Counting to 100 is a big deal to the kindergarten and first graders attending the school. The students celebrated the day by each bringing 100 small items they had counted out themselves. Some of the faculty and students even dressed up to be 100 years old. The school year consists of 180 school days, so the good news was also only about 80 days left until summer vacation. From left are, Tricia Wampole; kindergarten teacher, Holly Sell; reading
