Lansford Police have provided information about a reported stabbing Sunday on E Water Street in the borough.

Police reported on Facebook that they responded to a reported stabbing that was to have occurred in the unit block of E Water Street, this incident was reported at 1:55 p.m.

Police said officers were on scene in under one minute and were able to secure the involved parties.

One man was transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. Another person was offered medical attention and refused.

Officers are conducting interviews. The Office of the District Attorney was contacted as were the county detectives.

Police posted, “There is no danger to the general public The incident was not random.”

More information will be released when charges are filed.
