Eldred Township’s regular supervisors meeting last week went quickly addressed requests from the community thrift store for an increase in the 2021 startup funds for $150 with $50 in small bills and change.
The second request was to purchase a card reader so the customers could use their credit/debit cards to purchase items from the thrift store.
Supervisor Gary Hoffman said having a card reader would also help to keep less cash in the drawer.
Hoffman explained that the highway funds had a zero balance only because it was the end of the year and the township had not yet received the liquid fuels allocation.
A motion was made and approved for the resolution to appoint Kirk Summa, auditors of financial records, not to exceed $5,000.
Ann Velopolcek, the township secretary, reminded the meeting attendees of the PennEast pipeline project hearing and said she posted the information on the township’s website.
