Nativity display

In conjunction with the Olde Time Christmas weekend in Jim Thorpe, St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will be holding its eighth Nativity display at the church. Items that are being displayed are made of wood, tin, glass, ceramic, cloth, etc. and they are hoping to have approximately 500 articles on display. The event will be open to the public from noon to 5 p.m. each day on Saturday and Sunday.Articles for the display will be accepted from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.Toys for TotsThere are only two weekends left to register children for the Toys for Tots campaign. The dates are Friday and Saturdays, Dec. 4, 5, 11 and 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.Registration for Carbon County residents will take place at the Salem Bible Fellowship Church, 1105 Frederick's Grove Road, Lehighton.
