Northern Lehigh School District will once again not offer an early retirement incentive plan for its eligible professional employees.

On a 6-2 vote, the school board on Monday rejected approval of the adoption of the plan. Directors Gary Fedorcha and Robert Keegan Jr. voted in favor. Director Donna Kulp was absent.The plan would have been for all eligible professional employees, on a voluntary basis, for the 2015-16 school year.Directors recognizedAlso on Monday, Superintendent Michael Michaels recognized several school board members for their years of service to the school board.Michaels presented a Pennsylvania School Board Association certificate of appreciation to board President Edward Hartman for his eight years of service.Also recognized was former director Raymond "Jack" Follweiler for his 12 years of service.Follweiler served on the board until he passed away in July.Other business•Approved the 2015-16 Northern Lehigh District Salary Schedule.• Exonerated a property at 110 Main St., Walnutport, owned by the Diamond Fire Company, from all school real estate taxes for tax years 2014 and 2015.
