Hike planned

At 10:30 a.m. July 27, a hike will be held on the mountain behind Locust Lake State Park and a visit made to the Silver Creek Fire Tower and Reservoir.

This hike is 7.5 miles long and difficult. The pine stands and brush are perfect habitat for birds and other wildlife. Participants will meet at the visitor parking lot at the park, located before the contact station, to carpool at 10:15 a.m. Bring a lunch and your dog for a nice relaxing hike in the woods.

Registration is required by calling Robin Tracey at 570-467-2506. You will receive a call to confirm your spot. All pets must be leashed and get along with people and other pets. Shine only.
