Two women have been charged with retail theft at the Walmart in Mahoning Township last month.

Township police said at 5:32 p.m. Sept. 27, a retail theft occurred at Walmart.Loss prevention reported Heather Getley, 29, of Albrightsville, had stolen merchandise valued at $303, and Kristy Mertz, 36, of Lehighton, had stolen merchandise valued at $19.Getley has been charged with retail theft, a misdemeanor, while Mertz has been charged with retail theft, a summary offense.
