Philosophy of care: Dr. Newman believes in patient-focused care and knows that great care is a positive benefit to the community at large.

“I want my children to grow up in a happy and healthy environment. That means making the community around them happy and healthy as well,” he says.

Services offered: As a hospitalist, Dr. Newman cares for admitted hospital patients with a variety of medical conditions.

Why he choose medicine as a career: Dr. Newman witnessed the exceptional care his father, a local ophthalmologist, provided patients. He was inspired to do the same in his hometown of Lehighton through his own medical expertise.

“I want to provide excellent care here for my neighbors,” Dr. Newman says.

About Dr. Newman: He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and being involved in community sports and activities with them. Dr. Newman also enjoys hunting, physical fitness and watching Penn State and New York Giants games.
