Lehighton UVO plans grave visits, Memorial Day services

The Lehighton United Veterans Organization has announced the schedule for Memorial Day services.

The main service is at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the upper Lehighton Park Amphitheater.

Commander Kevin Long said the speaker will be Capt. Phillip “Doug” Chapman

Co. “C,” 109th Infantry, 28th Division.

Long said Chapman currently serves as a chaplain for that unit.

Long emphasized the importance of supporting our veterans not only on Memorial Day, but all year long.
