Panther Valley graduate Dubosky helps Chestnut Hill volleyball make history

Panther Valley graduate Erika Dubosky recently helped the Chestnut Hill College women’s volleyball team make history, as the Griffins secured the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference playoff win in program history with a 3-0 victory over Dominican University to advance to the semifinals.

Dubosky led the way for the Griffins, recording her 14th double-double of the season with a match-high 14 kills and a team-high 13 digs. The junior also added three aces on the night.

The former Times News Volleyball Player of the Year leads the team with 327 kills, and is second on the squad with 335 digs, and tied for second with 35 aces.

The conference semifinals and championship matches will be played at Georgian Court University on Saturday and Sunday.

The Griffins (14-13), the No. 2 seed from the South Division, will face the University of Bridgeport, the top overall seed, at 12 p.m. on Saturday at the GCU Wellness Center.

The winner will face the victor of the Jefferson-Wilmington match on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 12 p.m.
