I am supporting Democrat Kate Best for Register of Wills and Recorder of Deeds in Monroe County for the Nov. 7 election. She is currently working as an estate paralegal with the local law firm ARM lawyers. She is running to make sure the person in charge of this very important function is capable of making excellent, informed and correct decisions.

During disagreements in an estate, the Recorder of Wills holds mediation hearings along with the solicitor. Together they will decide cases. We do not want to have the person deciding cases that has a history of leaning into conspiracy theories. Republican Josephine Ferro currently holds the position. Ms. Ferro was one of the 20 Republicans in Pennsylvania who signed a form and who played a role in the elector scheme during the 2020 Presidential election. This information was widely publicized.
