JIM THORPE CLASS OF 1973 50TH REUNION

The Jim Thorpe High School Class of 1973 celebrated its 50th year reunion Sept. 16, at the Mauch Chunk Rod and Gun Club. The 82-member class paid tribute to the 16 deceased members of the class with a memorial table of individual graduation photos and a moment of silence in their honor. A total of 31 classmates attended. Reunion awards were presented and a gift card for the “Longest distance traveled” for Mary (Pfeiffer) Yezierski from Florida, “First to Respond” for Bernard Bott with the earliest paid reservations and “Committee Traveler” to Linda Kyle for serving on the planning committee and traveling the second greatest distance from Michigan. Linda (Solomon) Lizzio and Gail (Haupt) Solomon served as “Planning Co-Chairs.” Edward Longazel, class vice president, moderated the program and Robert Marks led the remembrances and prayer of thanks.
