The Carbon County opens tonight with a ceremony and fair queen crowning at 5 p.m.

Fireworks scheduled tonight have been postponed until Tuesday because of storms in the forecast.

The National Weather Service is calling for showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain.

Tonight, Joe Bonson and Coffee Run is scheduled to perform at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. D.J. Chicken Nugget will be in the arena, with line dancing from 6 to 9 p.m.

Garden tractor pull at 7 p.m. in the small arena.

Tuesday will feature a lumberjack competition and an Alan Jackson tribute.
