Tamaqua police reported on the following incidents:

• Anthony Rivituso, 32, of the 300 block of West Front Street, Lansford, has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Nov. 3 at 3:15 p.m. police were dispatched to the Tamaqua Plaza for a suspicious man in the parking lot. Rivituso was being treated by EMS personnel, who were also dispatched to the scene. EMS told police they saw Rivituso with a suspected methamphetamine pipe. Rivituso, when confronted, admitted having the pipe.

• Marc A. Clouser, 35, of the 100 block of Patterson Street, Tamaqua, has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Nov. 5 at 10:37 p.m. police were dispatched to the area of 225 Orwigsburg St., regarding a white man on the front porch of a residence. The owner of the residence called police.

Clouser was found in the area. He had slurred speech and appeared to be under the influence. He had a syringe, methamphetamine pipe, cotton swabs, a long piece of string and multiple empty clear baggies.

Clouser was taken to his residence and informed charges would be filed.

• Lisa Ziegler, 45, of the 300 block of Arlington Street, Tamaqua, has been charged with simple assault.

On Oct. 30 at 11:45 p.m. police were dispatched to Hillers Hideaway at 514 E. Union St., for an assault. A woman told officers she had been assaulted by Ziegler, who struck her in the face after she exited a restroom in the bar. Police viewed a video of the incident and said the victim had a swollen upper and lower lip.

Police said Ziegler admitted assaulting the other woman.

• A 16-year-old male from Tamaqua, has been charged with theft of movable property - a vehicle, driving without a license, driving with no headlights on and failure to use a seat belt.

On Oct. 27 at 10:15 p.m. police initiated a traffic stop of a 1990 Volvo along East Broad Street near Greenwood Street for not having headlights on. The teen driver said he was from Virginia, didn’t know who the owner of the vehicle was, and claimed he noticed the car door open, took a nap in the vehicle, saw keys were in the ignition and took it.

He was then placed under arrest and the county juvenile probation office personnel were contacted. The personnel told police they would not take custody of the teen but said to charge him and release him to a family member. The father or the teen was located in Hazleton, who asked police to release him in Tamaqua as he lived on East Broad Street. The teen was charged and released.
