The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed due to changes in the weather:

Lehigh County

• Various municipalities: I-78 litter removal between Exit 57 (Lehigh Street) and Exit 49 (Route 100), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Allentown/Hanover: Airport Road pothole patching between Route 22 and Union Boulevard, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Upper Macungie Township: I-78 pothole patching Berks County line and Northampton County line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to midnight. Monday through Friday; I-78 litter removal between Exit 49 (Route 100) and Berks County line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday; Route 222/Kutztown Road construction between Liberty Road and Schantz Road, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

• Upper Saucon Township: I-78 median barrier repair between Exit 59 (Summit Lawn) and Exit 60 (Route 309), 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

• Weisenberg Township: I-78 median barrier repair between Exit 40 (Route 737) and Exit 45 (Route 863), 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monroe County

• Stroudsburg Borough: I-80 East lane restrictions for drilling work between Exit 305 (Main Street) and Exit 307 (Route 611 to Route 191), 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday; Route 209 drilling work between Hazel Street and Beers Street, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday.

• Pocono Township: I-80 West bridge repair between Exit 299 (Route 715) and Exit 293, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Northampton County

• Lehigh Township: Walnut Drive utility work between Route 248 and Elm Drive, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday; Lehigh Drive utility work between Route 145 and Valley View Drive, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

• Williams Township: I-78 West inspection between Exit 71 (Route 33) and Exit 75 (Route 611), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Bethlehem Township: Route 22 inspection between Farmersville Road and Route 33, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

• Hanover Township: Route 22 inspection between Jacksonville Road and Route 512, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

• Palmer/Plainfield: Route 33 highway beautification between Route 22 and Route 512, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• Bethlehem Township: Route 22 EB/WB inspection between Farmersville Road overpass and Route 33, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

Schuylkill County

• New Castle Township: Route 61 pothole patching between St. Clair Borough and Frackville Borough, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Tremont, Pine Grove, and Frailey townships: I-81 brush cutting between Exit 100 (Route 443) and Exit 116 (Minersville), 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• Mahanoy, Delano, and Kline townships: I-81 road sign work between Exit 131 (Route 54) and Luzerne County Line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• Butler Township: Gordon Mountain Road bridge repair and pipe work between I-81 and Biddle Street, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until April 26.
