The Barnesville man who police charged with a Ryan Township arson earlier this month is in Schuylkill County Prison on $100,000 bail.

Online court records show Joel Garber, 63,was unable to post the cash bail Friday. A preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. Jan. 20 in front of Magisterial District Judge Thomas Xavios.

Garber is charged with three felonies, arson-danger of death or bodily injury, arson-intent destroy unoccupied building and risking catastrophe. He is also charged with a misdemeanor charge of recklessly endangering another person for the Dec. 26 house fire at 20 Sherwood Drive.
