Police find marijuana operation when investigating death

A Saylorsburg woman has been charged with criminal violations related to a clandestine marijuana grow after a man was found deceased at their home in Hamilton Township.

The Pennsylvania State Police Stroudsburg barracks, responded at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 27 to a home in the 100 block of Lake Road, Saylorsburg, for a report of a 36-year-old man, Ellsworth Hutchinson, who was found dead.

While investigating the death, police found the marijuana growing operation.

On Wednesday, Helen Reilly, 33, was charged with criminal violations related to the marijuana operation, along with endangering the welfare of three young children, an 11-year-old girl, a 9-year-old girl, and a 1-year-old infant, all of whom resided in the home with Reilly and Hutchinson.

Trooper Justin Leri with the Stroudsburg Station Criminal Investigation Unit and Troopers with the Troop N Vice Unit, conducted the investigation.
