2021 reorganization: Mahoning Twp. supervisors reorganize

The Mahoning Township Board of Supervisors held its reorganization meeting Monday, retaining Bruce Steigerwalt as chairman throughout the 2021 year.

Robert Slaw will once again be vice chairman.

Natalie Haggerty will continue her role as secretary-treasurer, and Nanovic Law Offices will reprise the position of legal counsel and solicitor for the board.

LTL Consulting was named township engineer, Carl Faust will hold the role of zoning officer and building code official, Nevin Fry will act as encroachment officer and roadmaster, and Scott Bieber will be the township’s contact for sewage enforcement officer and stormwater management officer.

Justin Markel will serve as the affirmation emergency management coordinator. Larry Hill will serve as a chairman on the vacancy board for a one-year term, and Tom Zimmerman was reappointed to his role on the zoning hearing board for a three-year term. Some changes in wages were seen throughout the township with some receiving a raise of 2%.

Slaw was picked to represent as a voting delegate at the PSATS state convention from April 18-21.
