2021 reorganization: Franklin to function under same leadership
Franklin Township will remain under the same leadership this year.
The township’s board of supervisors reappointed Jason Frey as board chairman at the reorganization meeting Monday.
Supervisor Robin Cressley was retained as board vice chairman, with Brenda Cressley reappointed as secretary-treasurer. Christine Green will remain as assistant secretary-treasurer.
Other appointments were:
• Robin Cressley, roadmaster and road foreman
• Jason Doll, police chief
• Attorney Tom Nanovic, township solicitor
• Attorney Jenny Cheng, zoning hearing board solicitor
• Tracy Herman and Paul Jarrett, zoning officer and BOCA Property Maintenance Code Enforcement Officer
• Paul Jarrett/LVIS; Bureau of Veritas North America Inc., and Barry Isett & Associates, Uniform Construction Code Officers and assistant BOCA Property Maintenance Code Enforcement Officers.
• Scott Bieber, of Lehigh Soils and Wetlands, sewage enforcement officer, with Steve Gitch and Charyn Ayoub, alternate sewage enforcement officers
• ARRO Consulting Inc., township engineer for sewage
• Carbon Engineering, Gregory Haas, Michael Tirpak, township engineer for general purposes, with Keystone Consulting Engineers as alternate.

• Approved the schedule of township meetings for 2021 to be at 6:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month
• Approved retaining all present employees (employees in union as per contract in place)
• Approved the setting of wages of nonunion and nonuniformed employees, full-time, part-time, with a 3 percent increase.
• Approved setting of equipment rental rates.
• Tabled daily fees for storage.
• Appointed Buckno Lisicky & Co. PC-CPA, in place of the elected auditors to examine all township accounts for 2020.
• Approved operational support activities for participating members of the township volunteer fire company for 2021.
• Approved the township’s per capita tax exoneration lists from Sara Keiser, tax collector, for the year 2020.
• Approved to have the township’s 2021 tax duplicate computed by Touch Point.
• Approved the Pohopoco Rod and Gun Club’s 2021 monthly meeting dates to be held at 7 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month on Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 17, April 21, May 19, June 16, July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15.
• Approved the letter of request from the Lehighton Men’s Softball League to use the Bunker Hill Ballfield for the 2021 season from April through September.
