A Saylorsburg man has died after being involved in a two-car crash Monday night in Polk Township.

Monroe County Coroner Tom Yanac Jr. confirmed that an 18-year-old male died as a result of the crash, which occurred just after 11 p.m. at 122 Interchange Road, Route 209.

Yanac said the victim’s name won’t be released yet at the request of the victim’s family.

He said an autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday.

Polk Township Fire Department, West End Fire Company, Pennsylvania State Police, Lehighton barracks, and fire police were among those who assisted at the scene.
