Tamaqua woman picked up on warrant, faces drug charges

A Tamaqua woman has been jailed on outstanding warrant and drug charges will be filed following an incident in Luzerne County.

State police at Hazleton said on Sept. 17 at 2:06 p.m. troopers were called to 197 Beaver Brook Road, in Hazle Township, to assist adult protective services. While at the scene, Faylynne Harrison, 36, of Tamaqua, was discovered in an upstairs bedroom. She had an active bench warrant for her arrest issued out of Schuylkill County.

She was taken into custody and found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Troopers said drug charges will be filed against Harrison. She was transported to the Schuylkill County prison on the bench warrant.
