Schuylkill Township has ended its Declaration of Disaster Emergency extension in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
With Schuylkill Township now in the green phase of Pennsylvania’s reopening plan, fewer restrictions are evident.
Secretary-Treasurer Colleen Barrett said the township does not have any major concerns as of now and said, “Of course if there is a major spike (in COVID-19 cases) we can revisit this at a later meeting.”
As a result of the green phase, the Schuylkill Township Community Yard Sale is now scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 25, with a rain date of July 26. This event was previously set for June but was postponed due to COVID-19.
